REMEDYING DEFECTS IN FITTINGS. It has been noted from time to time that consumers have suffered considerable inconvenience arising from small defects which develop themselves in their FITTINGS, and which, while often trifling in themselves, cause much annoyance, and involve some expense in rectification, as well as a waste of gaa while existing. The officials of the Company will, when desired, visit consumers and examine their Fittings and Burners, and rectify, WITHOUT CHARGE, such small defect* a* may be found to exist, and aa can then and there be notified. They will al«o supply, WITHOUT CHARGE, an approximate estimate of cost of any change in the pipe service or other arrangements aa may ba desired by consumers. There are prebably fewer disadvantages connected with the use of OAS than with any other artificial light, but the Director* trust, by the means now adopted, to remove moat of even such as do exist.
