TERRIBLE COLLIERY EXPLOSION.

270 MEN ENTOMBED. London, June 22. An explosion has occurred at a mine m Pontypridd, m Glamorganshire. Two hundred and seventy persons were below at the time, and so far only a few have been rescued. The work of rescue is proceeding. 86 BODIES RECOVERED. June 24. So far 86 bodies have been recovered from the Pontypridd mine, and 17 of the men rescued. One hundred and twenty of the miners are still entombed.
