SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.

The s.s. Te Anau (Capt. Waller) arrived from Melbourne and Hobart via Southern ports early this morning. The steamer left Williamstown at 10 p.m. on the 27th ult, Hobart at 6.30 p.m. on the 29th, andarrived at the Bluff at daylight on the 2nd inst. Called at Dunediu on Sunday, Lyttelton on Monday, Wellington on Tuesday, and Napier yesterday, reaching here as above. Experienced light to fresh easterly winds from Melbourne to the Bluff, from there to Dunedin strong westerly gale and head sea, from thence to arrival light variable winds and smooth sea. Passengers — Inward : From Melbourne : Mr, Mrs, and Miss McDonald. Coastal : Misses Felix, Fisher, Williams, Evinson, Tiffen, McLean (2;, Williams, and Morse; Mesdames Smith, Ingpen and child, Williams, Taylor, Fyers, Morell, Williams, Harding, Tiffen, Dinnie and child, and Gardiner and child ; Messrs D. Watt, Forder, Wardell, Evans, Morell, Hodgson, Williams, Stewart, Dinnie, Horn, Mitchell, Evans, Tiffen, Georgeson, Sylvester, Whittaker, Pierce, Page, Corbin, and Michael. The steamer leaves for Auckland and Sydney at 7 o'clock this evening, taking: Misses O'Dwyer, Mackay, Evans, and Hargreaves ; Mesdames Dinan, Chrisp, and Robinson ; Messrs Kern, Nazer, Chrisp, L. Rees, and Fillis' Circus (70). The B.s. Australia left Auckland last evening and Tauranga at 11.30 this morniug for Coast ports and Gisborne, and arrives here to-morrow afternoon. She goes on to Napier and Wellington at 5 p.m. The s.s. Dingadee left Wellington this morning, and leaves Napier to-morrow evening, reaching here on Saturday morning. She proceeds on to Coast ports and Auckland at 7 a.m.

The s.s. Wairarapa will be the next boat from Sydney and Auckland, being due on Saturday afternoon. The s.s. Moa reaches here from Auckland via Mercury Bay and Coast ports to-morrow. She proceeds to Napier m the evening at 7 o'clock.
