The promoters of " New Australia " in Paraguay are arranging for further vessels to carry emigrants. Over two thousand applications have been received, including many from New Zealand. No decision has yet been arrived at respecting the wool dispute. MELBOURNE, Oct. 31. Tlie wool difficulty has just been settled, and the sales will be resumed to-morrow. The representatives of the buyers, in a letter to the brokers, state that the discretion the selling brokers always had in the matter of delivery should not be persisted in a vexatious spirit. The brokers replied accepting a series of suggestions made by the buyers and also stating that they had no desire to act vexatiGusty in the matter. As thare is some probability that a conference on the question of the Pacific cable will not be held before Mr Bowell returns to Canada, Mr Patterson, Premier of Victoria, has adopted Mr BowelPs suggestion that tho Australian colonies should send representatives to Canada early next year to discuss the matter.
