Reynolds, New South Wales), by tha English thoroughbred sire, The Drummer (imp) dam iCorisande, by New Warrior, dam 10, by Sir Hercules, dam Flora Mclvor. Tub Duujimeu, by Rataplan, a son of The Baron and full-brother to Stockwell (the Prince of Stallions). Rataplan was the winner of it races in Eugland, and the sire of numerous winners. The Drummer won tha Great .-takes, and ran a close third for the Derby before leaving England ; and was second on the list of winning sires at the time of his death in Australia. My fciece, the dam of Xlic Drummer, was a very high-class marc, and was got by that superior racehorse, Cowl, the best horse in England atjtwo and three years of age. He is brimful of breeding and quality, aud if mated with good marea it must end in good results. Wakatipu is the winner of several gooa races, and he is tne most fashionable bred si.c in the district. He ran third in New Zealand Exhibition Cup ; won Place Handicap, Wellington ; ran second Midsummer Handicap, Canterbury ; close third in Burke Memorial Stakes, Hawke's Bay.in the fast time of 2iniu 38=cc for the 1£ miles ; won Park Stakes, Gisborne ; won Turanga btakes, Tradesmen's Handicap, and others. Wakatipu easily gained first prize and the Society's medal at the Poverty Bay A. and P. Show for the best thoroughbred sire, beating Hukaterc, Derringer, Morpheus, Kalo and Hailstorm. Owners sending their mares to Wakatipu can rely on them getting plenty of grass and good water. Every mare will be served under the supervision of the owner. All mares must be removed on notice of being stinted. All fees to be paid before delivery of mares. One month's grazing free ; after that 2s 6d per week will be charged. PuxoAWBREWKitE, the dam of Crackshot, was a very fast mare, winning, among other laces, the Maiden Plate (Canterbury) and Tradesmen's Handicap, the Liunediu Cup, of 400 soys (2 miles and a distance), aud tho st. Leger Stakes at canterbury. She is very stoutly-bred, aud all her progeny are fast gallopers. She is the dam of Tctford (winner of the Wangauui Cup), Krupp, brigadier, fct. James, and others. As for Crackshot, he was a real racehorse while on the turf. Some of his wins are as follows : — Won fcpiing Handicap, Hawkt's Bay, 1J miles, 2miu 39sec ; won Canterbury Cup, 2J miles, 4min 4jsec ; won Auckland Cup, 2 miles, car<yiiig Bst tlb, in the fast time ol 3min Bo^sec (this performance has only been beaten once, viz., by St. Hippo, bj half a second) ; won Auckland Plate; won Birthuay Handicp and J.C. Llandicap at Hcathcote; won A.RC. Handicap. Crackshot has run severa' close seconds to good horses. Crac - shot is a beautiful-looking horse, stands 10 hands 2 inches, with good bone and plenty of substance, aud those breeders wishing to breed a racehorse from a thoroughbred mare, or a fast hunter from an ordinary mare, could not do better than mate them with Crackshot He possesses a grand constitution, aud being a 3ounir sire should prove a boon to the district. Crackshot's services this season will be placed as low as posbible for a sire of his class. The terms will be Sevkn Guineas each mare.
