CRICKET.
London, July 17. The second match between and All England eleven and the Australians opsned *fc Lords to-day. The English team is as follows: — Flowers, Peel, Wainwright, vlold, Lock wood, Jackson, Stoddart, McGregor, Gunn, Shrewsbury and Read. Attewell was picked as an emergency man. Dr. Grace's absence from the eleven is duo to an injury to one of his fingers. Jarvis, Walter Giffeu, and Coningham are tending out of the Australian team. The Englishmen winning the toss elected to bat and hare lost 3 wickets for 168 runs, Jackson 91, Shrewsbury (not out) 43. There ia tine weather for the cricket match and the attendance is large. The wicket is soft-. The All England eleven is captained by Stoddart. Gunn played tamely and Shrewsbury batted for an hour for 10 runs, Turner's bowling being difficult to negotiate. Stoddart punished Bruce severely, and Jackson's leg hiiting was superb. The fielding of the Australians was loose and the firßt hundred runs was scored in eighty-five minutes. Jackson was missed by Lyons when he had compiled 52, by Blackham when he had scored 73, and then by Trumble when his score had reached 82. Geo. Giffen missed Shrewsbury when the latter's score stood at 40.
