Attempt to Rob a Bank
Wellington, to-day. Mr Costello, manager of the branch of the Bank of Australasia at Otaki, reports that an attempt was made to rob the bank on Friday night. He states that he discovered a burglar enteritig the bank, bat the intruder exploded something, apparently gun cotton, and before he (Costello) recovered from tho shock the offender escaped. The police are investigating the matter.
