The s.s. Australia reached here from South early this morning, and proceeded on to Coast ports and Auckland at 9.30 a.m. Passengers -Inward : Missos Maefarlane (2), and Pearce ; Mrs Bryant and child ; Messrs Benson, Rew, Greenwood, Fraser, Hodgson, Porter, McLean, Colegrovo, Thornton, Walker, DeCosta, Dickinson, Skinbeck, and Const. Norman. Outward: Lieut. -Colonel Porter ; Messrs Barclay, Booth, Ford, Leith, Da*i«, PorUr, and Mere Karaka. The a. s. Talune (Capt. Kennedy) arrived from Sydney and Auckland, after a fine run of 23 hours from the latter port, at 11.80 this morning, bringing :— Misses Palairet »nd Matheion ; Mesdames Pilgrim, Edvrards, and McDonald ; Dr. Heale ; Messrs Elder, Reynolds, Ballarn, O'Neil, McCormick, Wilhami, and Davidson. She sails for Seathern ports and Melbourne this evening, the last launch leaving the wharf at. 5 o clock. The s.a. Manapouri leaves Wellington this afternoem and Napier to-morrow evening, arriving here early en Monday morning. She proceeds on to Auckland at f a.m. Th« actooner Awanui arrived this morning from Auckland via the Bay of Plenty and East Coast ports. The Awanui left Auckland last Saturday evening, and made a good trip dewn the Coast. She brings 80 tons of general cargo for this port.
