UNIONIST DEMONSTRATION.
London*, March 10.
The Parnellitc Convention at Dublin insists upon unconditional amnesty as a condition of national settlement. The Parncllitcs have pledged themselves to support the second reading of the Home Rule Bill, but reserve the freedom of offering amendments in committee. The Premier intends to resist the obstructionists, and is making arrangements for the House to sit on .Saturdays. March 16. — At a meeting of 5000 Unionists in Dublin, comprised of Catholics and Protestants of all classes, a resolution protesting against Home Rule was carried. Archbishop Plunkett declared that Ireland was being sacrificed to tho whim of a con» summate political mischief-maker. The meeting was characterised by immense enthusiasm. Washington, March 10. The Irish Americans are discussing the feasibility of raising .£30,000 for the general election, which is expected to follow the passing of the Home Rule Bill by the House of Commons.
