SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.

♦ The s.s. Australia, from Auckland and Coast ports, arrived here at 3 yesterday afternoon. She proceeded on to Napier and Wellington at 8 p.m. Passengers— lnward : Misses White and Wilkinson ; Mrs Massey. Outward : Mr H. N. Watson The s.s. Southern Cross reached here at daylight this morning. She sailed for Coast ports and Auckland at 7.45 a.m. Passengers — luward : Messrs Menßies, Walker, Mcßae, Mitchell, Page, Campbell, Chamberlain, Houghton, Lake, Zoeller, Colegrove, and three steerage. Outward : Messrs DeCosta, Booth, Corrigan, Sharp, and Wyllie. The s.s. Waihora was detained South owing to bad weather, and left Wellington at 3 this afternoon for North. She leaves Napier at 8 to-morrow evening and arrives here early on Monday morning, proceeding on to Auckland and Sydney at 8 a.m. The R.M.S. Kanieri (Captain Dawson) was working wool at Tokomaru to-day, and is expected to reach here to-morrow. She goes on to Napier at noon on Monday. The s.s. Ohau arrives here from Dnnedin via way ports on Tuesday next. After discharging her cargo, she proceeds to Westport direct. The following were the outward passengers by the s.s. Talune, which proceeded South at 8 last night : — Misses Somervell, Totnbleson (2), Sutherland, Matheson, Fisher, and Howard ; Mesdames Palmer and four children, and Bust ; Messrs Ackman, Callam, Palmer, Perry, Harker, Hivnif, Cuthbert, McMenaman, Joyce, and Lieut. - Colouel Porter.
