Wool and Hides Sale.
m Commox, Sheltok & Co. We held our second auction sale of sheepskins, w&ol, hides, and tallow on Saturday last, when we catalogued 179 lots, consisting of 2561 sheepskins, IS bales, 51 bags wool, 4 hags hair, 11 casks 2G tins tallow, and 317 hides. There were present buyers from Auckland, Napier, and Gisborne, and full prices were obtained. Every lot catalogued was sold. Sheepskins realised from 2d for pelts to G.^d for good woolled and well-saved skins. About equal quantities of skins went to Auckland, Napier, and Gisborne buyers respectively. Wool. — Dead wool brought 3^d to Gfd, crutchings 2d to 4Jd, hides l^d to 3id, tallow in tins ljd and in casks 16s, rough fat Id per lb. Our visitors expressed themselves well satisfied with the quantity and quality of the produce offered, and promise us their support at our future sale?. Our next sale will be held on December 2nd..
