Mills, manager of the Union Steamship Company, has arranged for the cessation of hostilities between his company and Messrs Huddart, Parker, and Co. on the Tasmanian lines. The old rates for freight and passengers will be restored after July Ist. Mr Mills, after a brief stay here, will leave on Thursday for Wellington to attend to his Parliamentary duties. The avowal of the Opposition is to introduce colored labor, and an alteration of the qualification for election to the Legislative Council. It is believed, however, the Government will hold over its decision on the Wealth Tax question until after the general election, Mr T. Playford, Premier, being willing that such a course be taken. Mr C. 0. Kingston will lead the Opposition.
