Hon. J. B. Whyte's Case.

Auckland, to-day. — At a meetinc of the

Liberal Association a resolution was passed as follows :—" That as it appears from the report of the case of the Audit Department v. Hon. J. B. Whyte and A. F. Etheridge that a serious miscarriage of justice has occurred, the secretary be requested to forward a statement of the c.-c to the Minister for Justice, draw : 13 attention to the matter, with a a iew to further action being taken if deemed advisable in the impartial administration of the law." It is stated that the Hon. Mr Whyte intends to call for a searching enquiry by a Parliamentary committee into his case.
