The Council met last evening. Present— The Mayor and Crs Dunlop, Lewis, Coleman, Taylor, Harding, Whinray, and Joyce. REMOVAL OP TREES. Messrs Kennedy and Evans wrote asking permission to out down a poplar tree in front) of their office, as ifc had grown so large as to interfere with the light.
