. * The B,s. Southern Cross (Capt. Black), from Auckland and Coast ports, left Tolago at 21 this morning and reached here at 4 this afternoon. She steams South this, evening, the last launch leaving the wharf at 7 p.m. The U.S.S. Co.'s Australia (Capt. Gibbs), from Napier and Wellington, leaves Napier at 5 this evening and arrives here to-morrow morning, proceeding North at 8 a.m. The U.S.S. Co.'s Hauroto, 1276 tons, from Sydney and Auckland, leaves the latter port at 11 to-night and arrives here at daylight on Saturday, proceeding South tkX 5 p.m. Owing to Easter Monday being a holiday, the Hauroto will not leave Wellington on her journey South till Tuesday. The U.S.S. Co.'s Manapeuri (Capt. Logan) leaves Wellington on Saturday afternoon and arrives here on Monday moriling, proceeding North at 6 a.m. The b.s. Janet Niccol leaves Napier on Saturday evening and reaches here on Sunday morning, proceeding North Bhortly after arrival. The schooner Gisborne (Captain Skinner) leaves Auckland to-day for East Coast ports and Gisborne. The schooner Opotiki (Capt. Bergenseu) sailed for Napier last night, taking 100 sacks of grass seed, wool, and sundries. The topsail schooner Awaroa (Captain 'j|3fci\ihar§) sailed in. ballast last night for '■' Mercury 'Bay, where she load 3 timber for Gisborne. The brigantine Zephyr, after discharging part of her cargo of coals, will be brought alongside the wharf to discharge the balance.
