The U. S.S. Co. 'a Tarawera (Capt. Sinclair) arrived from South at 8.30 this morning. Passengers — inwards : — Misses Townley, Barker (2), and Ottway ; Mesdames Ranger, Lewis, Snelton, Taylor and child, Holden, Kilcall and family ; Archdeacon Williams and Rev. Mr Lewis ; Messrs Ranger, Hunter, .-Barker (3), Dickie and family, Melntyre, Mowatt, Forbes, Arthur, Smifcton, Clark, Parker, Tiffen, Sheen, Davis, Stevenson, Ruasell, Pearce, Patterson, Stoddart, Watts, ■ and Barry. £he proceeded on to Auckland and Syduey at 12.45, taking : —For Sydney : j Miss Evans and Master Lucas ; for Auckland : Misses Pettie and Jones ; Messrs Cox, j Parker, Pettie, McKay, Caulton and Smart. Tho .s.s. Southern Cross (Capt. Black) leaves Auckland this evening, and will arrive here, via coast ports, on Thursday, proceeding South at 5 p.m. The U.S.S. Co.'s MaDapouri (Capt. Logan) leaves Auckland on Thursday, and reaches 1 here on Friday, proceeding South at 5 p.m. The s.s. Omapere (Capt. Smith) leaves Dunedin to- day, Oamaru 'to-morrow, Timaru Thursday, and arrives here via Napier on Sunday, proceeding on to Tauranga and Auckland shortly after arrival.
