& -■"-•% -"'-. Weeungton, to-day. -Winter, one of the Christchurch Railway Society's delegates, has announced himself a candidate for the Wellington seat. Greymouth, to-day. Polling was taken on Saturday night re a labor candidate, and resulted in favor of William Dunn with 220 votes; B. McGuire with 165. The election contest will probably be between Messrs Guinness and Jones, and Mr Dunn, it is thought, is unlikely to stand. Christohurch, to-day. In response to the request of an influential .deputation, Mr Manning, the present mayor, has consented to offer himself for re-election.
