In the two mile double sculling race Gaudaur and Mackay defeated Teenier and Hosmer. Disturbances in Chili are still continuing, and five thousand nitrate strikers sacked and burnt several shops in Valparaiso. As it is feared further depredation will be committed, troops have been summoned, and the banks and most of the business places have been closed. During the melee one shopkeeper and several rioters were killed. An ironclad fired on the rioters at Equeque, a port town in the north of Chili. GUATEMALA, July 23.
