Sir, — As your account in Friday's issue of the death of Mr Thomas Thaxter may create a wrong impression, perinib me to state that the true version is as follows : — Thaxter, who was killing a sheep on the 2Gth of May last, severed the artery and cross-veins of his thigh. I bound up the injured limb and brought him to tho Hospital. When the bandages were removed they were found to be intact, notwithstanding tho rough journey down. I have this from Dr. Pollen himself, who told me that they wore quite secure when he removed them.
