A subscription is being ra ised in the camp to defray tho exponses of his funeral which takes place on Sunday. Coombes is well-known to shooting men, having attended tho last four meeti ngs. It is understood he leaves a wife and family in Cliristchurch. Thu Council this morning decided to refuse to allow the Australian contingent to take part in tho Teams' Match.
