SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.
♦ The U.S.S. Co. 'a Ringarooma, 1250 tons, arrived in the Bay from the South on Sunday morning, with : — Alesdames Andrew, Williams, uud Gardiner ; Miss Ounnes ; Messrs Churchward, Rymer, Reid, Hughes, Single, Crawford, Brasscy, Ironmonger, Levinshon, Wallace, Waters, Parker, and Lucas ; Majors Porter and Pitt. She went on to Auckland and Russell, taking :— Miss Blyth ; Mr Haisman ; and 2 Maoris. The s.s. Omapere (Capt. Smith) arrived at 8 this morning. She experienced heavy sea all the way from Timarn. Owing to heavy aei no cargo could be landed at Napier. An anchor was lost yesterday in the Napier roadstead, the chain carrying away whilst getting underwdgh. She came alongside the breakwater about 1 o'clock. She has 668 casks of cement to land. The Southern Cross does not leave Auckland till to-morrow (Wednesday), reaching here on Friday. She goes on South at 5 p.m. The s.s. Australia is not to leave Wellington for this port till noon to-morrow, and arrives here as advertised on Friday morning. She goes on to Coast and Auckland at 6 a.m.
