THE EBER GOES DOWN.

ONLY 10 .SAVED FROM THE VESSEL. The German warship Eber went ashore on the inside of the reef. Her side was immediately stove in, and she heeled over into deep water. One of her officers and a number of men jumped on to the reef and made for shore. About ten were saved. All who remained by the ship went down. About 75 men, including the captain and officers, were lost.
