The R«v. Mr J. A. Crawford, r Church of England clergyman, who holds an important position in the diocese of perry, and is fisiting New Zealand for the benefit of hie health, ie at present in Wellington. While in Auckland his attention was directed to the field open in this colony for immigration of tenant farmers from the North of Ireland, and he has made it his business to acquire a large amount ef information on the subject. He is conTinced that if he could place thie information before the proper class at Home, a large immigration of experienced farmers, possessing considerable capital, would take place from Ulster to New Zealand. Mr Crawford believes they would undoubtedly benefit themeelve* by this change, aod would prove most valuable colonists. Since his arrival here, Mr Crawford ha» had some communication with the Minister of Lands on the subject, and has intimated his willingness to acquire further information on the question In other parts of thi colony, and to place it before the right people at home, if the Government will assist and bear the necessary expense which would be incurred in doing this. The ■uggestion cer tainly appears well worth consideration, as Mr Crawford, from his position, would no doubt be able to direct • very desirable stream of immigration from the North of Ireland to New Zealand
