FURTHER PARTICULARS. London, Dec. 29. Immediately the alarm was given a detatchment of firemen from the North Metropolitan Fire Brigade, whose station is only a few yards distant, were summoned, but perceiving that the tire had tiainedtoo much headway they confined their exertions to preventing the fire from spreading to the adjacent buildings, for the theatre is situated in the midst of a large block of buildings, and disastrous results would have followed the spread of the fire.
