FRANCE AND GERMANY.
ANOTHER FRONTIER TROUBLE. TWO FRENCHMEN SHOT. Pauls, Sept. 25. A French lieutenant with a gamekeeper, while out shooting closo to the Franco-German frontier, wai shot at yesterday by an unseen person on the German side of the frontier, who is supposed to have been a Customs official. The keeper wab killed, and the lieutenant had his thigh shattered by (ho ball. Latek. It has been ascertained that the person who shot at and wounded a French lieutenant, at tho same time killing a gamekeeper wlui accompanied him, are keepers of a German estate on the frontier. They assert that they fired at the Frenchmen believing them to be poachers. The French Government has taken diplomatic action in tho matter.
