The s.s. Kahu h;is beeu further detained here until daylight to-morrow morning, when she proceeds on North. Messrs Bing, Harris and Co., Dunedin, have wired to v,he Collector of Customs here, asking for particulars of the bale found amongst wreckage at Tokomaru and which was marked B. H. and Co. over D. From the amount of wreckage picked up along the shore it is feared that some unfortunate sailing vessel with all on bo?rd must nave perished. The ship's boat erne on shore entirely broken up. Tho wreckage was painted white, Const. Stagpoole has been communicated with for further intelligence.
