Wellington, to-day. The election for Mayor created a good deal of excitement in town yesterday, and resulted in the return of Mr Samuel Brown, a well-known contractor. Mr Moss Jonas was elected Mayor of Tiinuru over Mr John Jackson, who had been Mayor for four years. Hokitika, to-day. H. C. Michel was elected Mayor of Hokitika.
