Tho Colonial Mutual Life Assuranca Society Limited. ESTABLISHED 1874. Branches in all the Australian Colonies, Cape Colony and New Zealau'd. Auckland Office— l 39, Queen Street. Directors: J. M. Shera (Chairman); S. Thornc George ;>F. J. Moss, M.H.R. Duneuin Office — High Street. Directors: E. J. Spence (Chairman) ; W. J. M. Laruach, C.M.G., M.H.R. ; Hon. George McLean, M.L.C. ; Hon. Robert Stout, Premier. Wellington Office — Lambton Quay. Directors : J. B. Harcourt (Chairman), Geo. Beethatn, M.H.R. H. S. H. LYALL, General Secretary for New Zealand. nnHE results of the second quinquennial _fl_ period just completed prove the above Society •to have been the most successful ever known, either in AmeYica, Australia, or Britain, having multiplied its fundu more than six (6). f01d in the last five years. The Premiums are moderate, in themselves constituting au immediate Bonus. Colonial Mutual Policies are Incontestable from the date of Issue (being entirely free from obnoxious conditions as to travelling, residence, mode of life, or manner of death), and if of two years' duratiou (except absolute Tontine) are not forfeitable, but kept in force while of sufficient surrender value to pay one premium. The Profits belong wholly to the Members, and are all invested in the Colonies. All claims are paid within One Month after proof, on delivery of the Policy duly discharged. ± The Colonial Mutual has added to all ftie ordinary forms of A ssurance several distinctive features, and is the only Colonial Life Office which issues TONTINE INVESTMENT POLICIES. The " Absolnte" and " Modified" Tontine Policies of the Colonial Mutual secure advantages not offered by any foreign Coinany Ac the expiration of the Tontine period (10, 15, or 20 years, as may be selected), the advantages to membera are far beyond anything to be obtained under the ordinary Scheme of Life Assurance, the accumulated surplus being divided amongst the survivors, who are then allowed various attractive options in dealing with their policies. The full amount assured will be paid in case of death before the termination of such period. The Tontine plan requires punctuality in the payment of premiums. It therefore tends to encourage regular and temperate habits. As Tontine results are largely influenced by the ratio of mortality experienced, and rate of interest realised, it may fairly be presumed that the healthy climate of New Zealand, and the favorable opportunities for the employment of money in these colonies, will enable the Colonial Mutual to achieve results beyond anything attained by a Foreign Office. A TONTINE POLICY provides a certain, secure, and profitable investment, combined with Life Assurance, at ordinary rates, and as such is becoming deservedly popular amongt the business classes of the community. A Policy of Life Insurance is the cheapest and safest mode of making a certain provision for one's family. —Benjamin Franklin. The most successful Insurance Society in the Australian Colonies. Soundness and thoroughness and vigor characterise all the proceedings of this Society. — Insurance Journal. The Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society has more than one rival, but in respi ct of position, prospects, and attraction to insurers it stands unsurpassed. — Insurance Spectator.
