SUICIDE AT AUCKLAND.
♦ [Per Press Association.] Auckland, this day. At the inquest on the body of John Beit, the jury returned the following verdict : — " Deceased was found dead with a bullet-wound in his head, believed to be self-inflicted, but there is no evidence to show what state of mind deceased was in at the time." Deceased had lost £600 in Te Aroha scrip speculaions. He was a native of Hamburg.
