POVERTY BAY HOSPITAL.

The usual monthly meeting of the above Hospital was held in the Court House last evening. Present; A. Graham, Esq., (in the Chair) ; Messrs. Matthewaou, E. K. Brown, J. W. Nolan, W. Adair, Dr. H. Pollen, and H. McKay. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Subsidy. — A letter was read from Government saying that the voucher of LlB2 Gs 2d for subsidy on monies collected for the quarter ending the 30th September, had been passed. — The Treasurer stated that although the voucher had been passed about a month ago, no cheque for the amount had yet been received for the amount. Treasurer's Report. — The Treasurer reported that all accounts passed at the last meeting had been paid, and recommended that the payment of accounts passed at this meeting be held over until the subsidy for the September quarter was to hand, which, most likely, would arrive by next mail. Wabdsmvn's Report. — The Wardsman, in hia monthly report, stated that eight patients had been admitted and seven discharged during the month, leaving three at present iv the Hospital. The cash received was £2 12s. An arrangement for the payment of Hospital fees had been made with four of the patients, and with the other four no arrangement was made. — In answer to questions, the Wardsman stated he had collected some of the moneys due by patients discharged last month. Only one discharged this month had paid. — Members thought that an appeal should be made to the employers of some of the men who had been in the Hospital. — The report was then adopted. visiting Committee. — The Visiting Committee for the present month are— Messrs. Jobson, Matthewson, and McKay. The requirements for the month were left to the above gentlemen. Bqjfuq.— rlt wa,s resqlvpd. $h,at Mr. •H.
