At to-day's wool auction 11,700 hales were oiforud. The tone of the sales was tinn. Since tnc opuniug Of tho series bales have been withdrawn. The salos close on October sth. (I'kr I'rkss Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received tho following produce teiegram, da ed London, 11th September :— "The wool market is unchanged. Up to date 175,000 bales have been sold, ana 7i),000 bales have been taken (or export. The wheat market is quiet ; Adelaide is worth 47s o'd, and New Zealand Jus, per 4yi>ilw ; New Zealand fair average quality is wortn, c.i.f. oil coast, 41s per ISOIbH. The weather is unsettled. The tallow market is quiet ; mutton is worth 4-t---<kl, and beaf 41s, per cwt. Tho leather market is quiet ; best sides are worth lljd per lb. The New Zealand hemp market is quiet ; tine is worth .Ciper ton." A later telegram, dated 12th September, aays :_" The wool sale programme; has been curtailed by four days. The Uanl; of England rate ol discount is Hi per cent."
