WELLINGTON GOSSIP.
Wellington, this dajr.. A good deal of discussion is going ow here re the disputed try in the AucklandWellington football match. Jt appearsfrom the Auckland telegrams that the Auckland captain asserts that Mr Wright, referee, who decided in favor of Wellington, was 70yds from- the play when the alleged throw-on occurred. Mr Wright r however, says, he- was about 15yds off, and shows conclusively that to have been. 70yds away in any direction he must have beea. 30yds outside the field altogether*
