I THE UNDERSIGNED, hereby make application to regis--5 ter the South Pacific Petroleum Company (Limited) (a Company duly registered under the provisions of " The Companies' Act ") as a No-Liability Mining Company under the provisions of " The No-Liability Mining Companies' Act, of 1881," (the application hereby made being so made with the consent of a majority in number and value of the shareholders in such Company present in Meeting held at the registered office of the said Company, number twenty-one, Clarence Street, Sydney, on the Sixteenth day of September, 1881. 1. The name of the Company is to be The South Pacific Petroleum Company, No-Liability. 2. The place of operations is at Poverty Bay, New Zealand. 3. The registered office of the Company will be situated at number twenty -two, Clarence street, Sydney. 4. The value of the Company's Plant and Machinery is twelve hundred and fifty ponuds sterling (£1250). 5. The Company's Mine consists of six thousand three hundred and fifty-four acres of land, held under a lease for twenty-one years from Robert Cooper and Andrew Young Ross, dated the tenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three. 6. The amount of money at the Company's credit is nil, and the total liability of the Company is about two hundred and fifty pounds. 7. The nominal capital of the Company is fifty-eight thousand nine hundred and sixteen pounds, in fiftyeight thousand nine hundred and sixteen shares of one pound each, of which fifteen thousand are fully paid up to one pound each, and forty-three thousand nine hundred and sixteen are contributing shares to the extent of one pound each. 8/ The number of contributing shares subscribed for is forty -three thousand nine hundred and sixteen, upon which two shillings each has been paid up. 9. The name of the Manager is Harold Edward Jopling. 10.
