County Stakes Handicap of 30 soys. for Ist horse, and 10 soys. for 2nd horse, for all horses bred in the County of Cook ; winner of Maiden Plate to cany 71bs. extra ; distance, ono mile and a quarter. Nomination of 1 soy. on tho 14th January, 1882, and acceptance of 2 soys. on the 14th February, 1882, night of general entry ; weights to be declared on the 28th January, 1882. Start at 2.45 p.m. 4. Hack Race of 10 sovs., for all hacks that have not been trained for this and the Waerenga a-hika meeting ; post entrance, lOst. up ; distance, one mile. CONDITIONS. First race each day to start at 12---o'clock punctually. Handicaps to be made by the Handicappers.. No owner or nominator shall bo qualified to enter a horse unless both bo subscribers of at least Two Guineas to the race fund. Second horse to save his stakes, excepting Handicaps and Hack Races. All entries (except the Tradesman's Handicap, Hurdle Race Handicap, Turanga Stakes Handicap, Publicans Purse, and County Stakes Handicaps (which are to be sent in at time, and »s above specified addressed as below, must be in writing and forwarded to the I Secretary at the Masonic Hotel not later than 9 p.m., on tho 14th February, 1882 and enclosing fee of 10 per cent, on value of Btakes together with qualiti- ! cation. All entries to inclndo names, desenp- ; tion and aye of horses, and colors of riders. Jockeys to ride in colors as described in entry, otherwise subject to a ponalty of one pound, The winner of :uiy match run on the course to pay 20s towards Club funds.
