NAPIER.
This Hay. Mr. Buchanan addressed a crowded meeting at the Theatre Royal last evening. When asked about MoDounall, lie refused to enter into personalities or make any reflections upon the rival aiuiiiciate. He denied that a single word had passed with Mr. Orniund on the subject of the election. A vote of thanks was carried. Messrs. Buchanan, McSweeney, and McDougall were nominated for Napier yesterday. 'Die show of hands was in favor of Mr. Buchanan. A poll was demanded.
