MAIDEN PLATE. £20 ; 1$ miles weight for aae, 2 years old and upwards ; for all horses that have never won nil advertised flat ruco exceeding £20 nett ; entrance, £2 10s. To start at 2 15 p.m. 4. BOXING DAY HANDICAP, £60 ; 2 miles ; top weight not to exceed 10 stone ; nomination, £2 ; acceptance, £3. To start at 3 p.m. 5. The Aucklßiid Jcckey Club Rules will be strictly adheied to, unless where otherwise specified. I Qualification to non-members, £1 Is. , Members will not be allowed to nominate horses the property of non-mem- ' bers, except by paying £1 Is for each horse, hacks except ed j Three horses to start for each race, or only half tho stakes will be paid. , Any jockey riding except in colors entered and proper jockey costume (except hacks), will be fined £2 ; and : this rule will besttictly enforced. i Any person entering a protest Bliall deposit the sum of £3 with the Stewards, J and such protest proving friv<>louß the amount shall bu forfeited to the Club. ; All protests must be entered within 15 minutes after the race, or the Stewards ; will not entertain it. | No entry shall be received except ou I the conditions, viz: that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards or Members of tho Committee whom they may appoint, and | their decision shall be final. Fireaway by Mr Bycr's Freeaway ; dam, Piicklow ; grauddam. a noted Yorkshire trotter. (Quicksilver has tnken first prizes at all the Canterbury shows, except on on« occasion, when ho was beaten by his hod, and then because lie was entered in the wniii<_' clrtss.
