Maiden Plate of 30 soy*., weight for age, distance one mile and a half ; fur all maiden horses that have not won an advertised flat race of the value of £20 nett (matches excepted) at the time of entrance. Start at 12.45 p.m. 2. Ladies' Purse of 40 so vs., two and a half miles, welter weights for age ; gentlemen riders only. Start at 2 p.m. 3. County Stakes Handicap of 30 soys. for Ist horse, and 10 soys. for 2nd horse, for ail horses bred in the County of Cook ; winner of Maiden Plate to carry 71 bs. extra ; distance, one mile and a quarter. Nomination of 1 soy. on the 14th January, 1832, and acceptance of 2 •ovs. on the 14th February, 1882, night of general entry ; weights to be declared on the 28 ih January, 1882. Start at 2.45 p.m. 4. Tradesmen's Handicap of not less than 50 soys ; nomination of two soys. on the 14th January, 1882, and acceptance of two sots, od the 14th February, 18S2 night of general entry, and sweepstake* of two soya. on the post ; weight to be declared on the 28th, January 1882 ; top weight not to exceed lOst. ; distance one and a half miles. Turanga Stakes Handicap of 100 soys ; nomination of two sots, on the 14th January, 1882, acceptance of four bovh. on the 14th February, 1882, night of general entry, and sweepstakes of 3 sots, on the post ; weights to be declared on the 28th January, 1882 top weight not to exceed lOat. Distance two miles. Half of sweepstakes to second horse. Start at 3. 30 p.m. 5. Consolation Handicap of 15 soys. ; post entrance of one soy. each; for all beaten horses at this meeting ; distance, one mile and a distance. Start at 4 p. 18. 6. Hack Rack of 10 sots., for all hacks that have not been trained for this and the Waerenga-a-hika meeting ; post entrance, lOst op ; dittanoo, one mile. CONDITIONS. First race each day to start at 12--o'clock punctually. Handicaps to be made by the Handicappers.. No owner or nominator shall be qualified to enter a horse unless both be subscribers of at least Two Guineas to the race fund. Second horse to save his stakes, excepting Handicaps and Hack Races. AH entries (except the Tradesman's Handicap, Hurdle Race Handicap, Turanga Stakes Handicap, Publicans Purse, and County Stakes handicaps (which are to be sent in at time, and as above specified addressed as below, must b« in writing and forwarded to the Secretary at the Masonic Hotel not later than 9 p.m., on the 14th February, 1882 and enclosing fee of 10 per cent on value of stakes together with qualification. All entries to include names, des crip tion and age of horses, and colors of riders. Jookeys to ride in colors as described in entry, otherwise subject to a penalty of one pound, The winner of any match run on the course to pay 20« towards Club funds.
