This Pay. Upwards of .£250 lias been : qp\lected here in aid of the Jews of Southern Russsa. An accident happened to the Masterton train on Thursday. When descending the steep gradient north of the Upper Hntfc, a truck ran off the line, and was dragged a distance of 80 yards, fortunately the other carriages did not leave the rails. The cause of the accident is unknown, but ad enquiry will be held.
