LONDON. August 17. Mr. Parnell announces that h(> will visit Ireland, and address the people at the various places on the rinse of the session, but recommends that a fair trial be given to the Irish Land Act. Large withdrawals of gold aro being made for North America. £'J()f>,000 were taken from the Bank of England to-day. August 18. In the House of Commons to-day, the motion by Mr. Parnell, censuring Government for the manner in which the Irish Coercion Act is administered, was rejected by a considerable majority. In the course of the debate both Mr. Forster and Mr. Gladstone refused to agree to tho demand of Mr. Parnell, that all suspected persons in custody in Ireland be immediately released. WASHINGTON. August 17. The President's condition is slightly improved, still he is unable to take solid food, but is able to swallow beef tea, with which it is hoped his strength may be maintained. NEW YORK. August 18. The yield of the spring wheat crops show a serious deficiency. A bulletin issued this morning reports the President's health rallying, and his condition greatly improved.
