Three horses to start for each Race, or only half the mowy will be given. The Auckland Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to, unlessa where otherwise specified. No entries Bhall be received except on these conditions : That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. Any jockey riding except in colours entered, or proper jockey costume, will be fined 20s. Any person entering a protest shall deposit the sum of three pounds with the Stewards, and such protest proving frivolous, the amount shall be forfeited to the Race Fund. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, and Prince of Wales' Birthday Handicap must be sent sealed to the Hon. Sea, at the Masonic Hotel, Glsborne, on Satukday, October Ist, 1881, not later than 8 p.m. and no entry will be received after that time, unless by post letter or teltgrum bearing the same date, enclosing entrance money and qualification fee, name, age and colour of the horse. Qualification fee 10s. Acceptance for the Handicap Hurdles and Prince of Wales' Birthday Handicap, enclosing colours, on the night of general entry at the Masonic Hotel, Gisborne, Saturday, November 6th., at 8 p.m. sharp.
