At the Supreme Court yesterday, in the libel action of Seabord v. the Bruce Standard, the jury returned a verdict for plaintiff ; damages, £25. At a meeting of clergy yesterday, it was resolved to petition Parliament in favor of the Gaining and Lotteries Bill, and praying that the advertisement of consultations and sweepstakes be rendered absolutely illegal.
In tho Industrial School 200 children have been attacked with measles, fifteen being in bed at one time, but only one death occurred.
