Dr. Skae, Inspector of Lunatic Asylums, died on Saturday from erysiplcas.

A most severe shock of -earthquake was felt at' 0;22 yesterday morning, and another at 6.30. A good deal of the plastering of the Government Buildings and at the new Police Station has fallen clown, and 'some other damage done to those buildings, but not of a serious nature. Several chimneys were thrown down in various places in town. None of the brick buildings seem to have suffered damage.
