The City of Sydney left San Francisco on the 4th instant, and is expected here on the 26th or 27 th instant.
The fta'ivc Land Court has awarded the ownership of Little Barrier Island to the Ngatiwai tribe, ousting the claims of the Chief Paul and others. The land was decreed by the Court as inalienable save to the Government, owing to its commanding position for Military purposes in the Hauraki Gulf. More rich specimens have been obtained from Blrtckmore's claim, at the Tiki, Coromandel, and £175 has been offered for an eighth of a share.

During Monday night, 11 distinct shocks of earthquake were felt here. A distinct rumbling of the ground accompanied each shock.
