The Postmaster-General has issued a circular despatch to the Governments of the other colonies, urging them to form a postal convention, and suggesting that they should all contribute towarda the possible loss on the oceanic service. The overland line between Adelaide and Port Darwin is interrupted, and therefore no English news by cable is coming to hand.
