GISBORNE ROWING CLUB.

At a general meeting of the above Club, adjourned from last Tuesday, the following gentlemen were elected officebearers — Mr. W. Ratcliffe, Captain ; Mr. E. H. Pavitt, Secretary, and Mr. Tabuteau Treasurer. Mr. \V. S. Haig was also elected as a new m amber. The principal matters in connection with the Club were discussed, and the preliminaries for the match on Saturday arranged. Mr. Boytan will act as starter, and the President, Mr. Crawford, as judge. The course will be down the Waimata, finishing at the wharf, and the first heat is to start at 1.30; the second getting away as soon after as possible.
