The celebrated Clydesdale Stallion AUCKLAND Will stand this season at Makauri, at Waerenga-a-hika on Tuesdays, at Ormond on Saturdays. A UCKLAND is by Major out of a f~\ Lincoln Mare. He won the first prize in 1869 as a yearling, beating two-year-old horses. In 1871, as a threa-year-old, he also carried off the first prize against aged horses. In 1872 he carried off the second prize, being beaten only by President, one of the three newly-imported horses. In 1875 he took the Silver Cup for the Best Draught Entire at the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society's Show. Stafford, Esq., of Nelson, by Towton, dam Symphony, Towton by Melbourne, dam Cinderella, by Touchstone. Symphony by Trumpet, dam Princess by Grate's Marchioness, own sister to Towton, won the Oaks in 1865; Marquiß,; brother to Towton, the 2000 guineas in 1862, ran second tor the Derby, and won the St. Leger.
