The market continues very quiet, and the business generally has been limited. The most pleasing feature of the week has been the opportune fall of rain which will be of incalculable benefit to the farming interest. Wheat. — Not much business has transpired in this grain. Values arc a shade easier. Beat milling is quoted at 4s 3d to 4s 4d j inferior parcels have been sold at 3s 6dto3sloa. Oats. — The dullness which has characterised oats for some little time past still continnes, and buyers, except for actual orders, are apathetic. Best milling stand at Is 6d to Is Bd. Feed qualities range from Is 3d to Is sd, according to sample, but also share with heavy oats an absence of enquiry. Barley. — Not much has been brought forward, and the few samples have been chiefly of the lower grades. Best is quoted at 3s 3d to 3s 6d, and other sorts 2s Gd to 2s lOd. Feed lots are quiet at Is 6d to Is9d. Flour is in fair demand at £10 10s to £11. RYEGRASs is without the slightest inquiry. A few sales of cocksfoot, to clear stocks, have been marie at a price withheld. Dairy Prgduce. — The quotation for butter stands at s|d to 6d ; cheese, 4d ; hams and bacon in cloth. 9d.
