BRIGHiM ifOUNG. THIS celebrated croaa-country Horse, •whose pedigree is well-known, will stand this season at TE ARAI FERRY. BRIGHAM YOUNG is a very powerful rich brown horse, rising 9 years ; bred by Quinlivan, of Wanganui. He was got by Traducer, ont of Missie, by Nutworth, imported, grand dam by Riddlesworth, the -winner of the Two Guineas. He also ran second for the Derby in England. Riddlesworth is the sire of Dainty Ariely Doch aDhurris, Malaga^ and old Volunteer, one of the best cross-country horses in the Colony. When a 4-year old, Brigham Young ran his maiden race" in the Wanganui Hurdle Race. Among the horses engaged in this race: was Wairarapa. He afterwards won the Napier and Wanganui Hurdle Race. Victor was the winner of the Steeplechase iii Wanganui, and the Wellington Hurdle Race Madora ' is a great winner from the South, having won a great 7 many cross-country races. There were eight others started. This was a fast race from the start, Pat M'Koy winning it on ..'G./zelle, Brigham Young second.
