The following candidates were nominated to. day, at noon. — Mr. Crawford nominated by Messrs C. D. Berry and Robert Wilson, and Captain Porter by Messrs. Townley and Clayton. The poll will be held on Wednesday, 24th inst. , votes taken between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Both candidates, after the nomination, adjourned to the Club hotel, and gave indications of what what was to f olloYj- when the election was v/n fait accampli.
