Here she i took all before her, beating 10, Ultima, i Mi6s Rowe, and others, in everything she started for. She was taken to Aus•j tralia, where she ran very well. BOTH WELL was foaled 13th Oct., 1876, and is now four years old ; stands 15 hands 3 inches ; has wintored well, and grown into a grand horse. He is a 1 beautiful bay, with great length, substance, and quality; and having the Traducer blood from his sire, and the equally famous blood of Sir Hercules 2 through hia dam, should prove very successful at the stud. BRIGHAM YOUNG is a very powerful rich brown horse, rising 9 years ; Jbred by Quinlivan, of Wanganui. He was got by Traducer, ont of Missie, by Nutworth, imported grand dam by Riddlesworth, the winner of the Two Guineas. He also ran second fur the Derby in England. Riddlesworth is the sire of Dainty Ariel, Doch a Dhurris, Malaga, and old Volunteer, one of the best cross-country horses in the Colony. ' When a 4-year old, Brigham Young ran his maiden race in -the Wanganui Hurdle Race. Among the horses en- ! gaged in this race was Wairarapa. He afterwards won the Napier and Wanganui Hurdle Race. Victor was the winner of the Steeplechase in Wanganui, and t the Wellington Hurdle Il«ce Madora is a great winner from the South, having won a great many cross-country races. There were eight others started. This : was a fast race from -the start, Pat M'Koy winning it on G zelle, Brigham Young second. Twd'movrtfcs after, Brigham Yo.mg ran -for the Grand Steeplechase in Wanganui ; 14 horses started. A very exciting race ensued, several of the horaes coming to grief, and two being killed. Here Brigham s Young showed himself again to be a true ; son of Traducer, being a raw colt, 4 years old, and winning the Wanganui Grand Steeplehose against 13 of the best horses in the Island. 1 TERMS :— Single Mares, £3 10s. ; two or or more mares the property of the . same owner as per agreement. HE is a low-set, powerful Draught Stallion, stands about 16i hands high, and is perfectly staunch in harness. Young Lord Glasgow took the first prize at the Hawke's Bay Agricultural Show held at Hastings in 1874, and Ist prize in Poverty Bay in 1878. Terms — £3 3s each mare.
